Where avatars die

Snapshot_001a

This is the place
where avatars die.
A white-edged limbo,
lost in the sky,
where the empties slump
in suspended goodbye,
discarded containers
of life, now passed by.
This is the place
where avatars die,
husks still and lifeless,
stuck in standby.
Arms which once hugged
unfolded now lie.
Eyes which once wept
locked open and dry.

Once they made love
and flew in the sky.
This is the place
where avatars die.
