Didn’t you die yet?

Didn’t you die yet?
Didn’t you die yet?
You said your goodbyes, we had tears in our eyes;
everyone’s moved by a husband who cries.

Are we there yet?
Didn’t you die yet?
We’ve patients to treat, backed up on the street;
we like you, but see we have targets to meet.

Is it your mindset?
Didn’t you die yet?
Why not die at home? You can call us by phone.
Your young boys will be there; you won’t die alone!

Now don’t you be upset.
But didn’t you die yet?
We know you’re in pain and – oh – vomiting again,
and of course our motto is “Always Humane!”
But, frankly, our patience is starting to wane
and our cheerful demeanour quite hard to maintain.

Can we clean up yet?
Didn’t you die yet?
